Hello All,

Can anyone let me know, does it make any significant difference having the lining on the roof of the hardtop? I am looking at one at the moment without it so just wanted to check.

Also, how much is a brand new hardtop ordered directly from the factory? I have contacted my local dealer about this but other than saying they have emailed the factory to check they have never come back with a price and I have been unable to find one online.

Many thanks

Unlined hard-tops make the car very noisy in my experience.

I've just put an unlined one on my 111r (with touring pack/sound deadening). I've only had a quick drive but it seems that in normal driving conditions it's not noticeably louder. On second cam however the induction noise is very LOUD, much more than with the soft top/no top (car has TRD airbox fitted btw).

Fairly obvious to me. If you want to absorb sound you add soft fabrics or materials. The with or without hard top is a classic debate. I stand firmly on the with side. However, a hard top without lining or sound deadening qualities would make me change my viewpoint.
