Hi all,

My indicators have packed in (both left and right not working) yet telltale lights up on ignition, hazard lights still work, and you can hear the relay clicking away when using them, though no relay sounds when indicating left or right - main lights and beams are fine too.

Is this just a case of replacing the indicator stalk?

Cheers,

James.

Fuse?
Hazards, i think, have a separate fuse to the indicators.
It's an easy check to do anyway.

Or maybe a Hazard light switch issue?

Thanks for the hints. The hazards work perfectly fine, checked/swapped the fuse in slot 6, and have just replaced the indicator stalk - still no dice.

How easy is it to take out the hazard switch to take a look & confirm if this is the problem? As you can probably tell from my q's, I'm a mechanical numpty...

Just un-pop the trim from around the hazard/lights switch (sometimes it just pops out for me, sometimes I struggle for ages), then just keep undoing little screws that hold the dash together until you can pull the switch panel out. Then you can pop the switch out from behind.

There may be a better way.

I just googled and found this on how to remove the switch panel:

Great Captain Muppet, that helped alot. Turns out it is the hazard switch, I can get it to work intermittently just by holding it left so guess there's a dodgy internal connection.

Now onto hunting down a spare part - thanks!

I got my "new" hazard switch from a scrap yard - it's used in Pugeot 205s and some 106s. I can't remember how much it was, but less than a fiver.
