Mmm Buy an S or Buy a Supercharger kit for my Exige
Discussion
Hi Guys
I love my Exige its pretty much perfect for me it’s got only 16,000 miles on the clock, in saffron yellow , touring pack and most options and in show room condition inside and out it buy far my most enjoyable car I have had in a while.
So I was wondering if I wanted a bit more power is it a simply matter of your better of f buying an original S then bother adding a supercharger to the existing car?
My gut says better to sale then buy the model you want , as resale on modified Exige seems quite poor and adds little value by spending 5k on all the work...
I have not driven a supercharged S is it much better and how do the running costs compare etc
Any advice would be appreciated

You'll see some of the money back on the supercharger upgrade, but as with any upgrades not all of it.
The official kit takes it to Elise SC engine spec, not the Exige S spec as it's designed for all the 2ZZ engine installations so can't rely on the raised engine cover and roof scoop of the Exige S, and therefore doesn't have the intercooler. A proper Exige S will have the option to add Lotus Sport upgrades for up to 260bhp, which the Elise SC style conversion doesn't.
There are other third-party supercharger conversions available as well which can offer more power than the official kit from the likes of Essex Autosport or Hangar 111.
