New Sport Elise owner saying hi
Discussion
I'm new to these parts of PH, so hello.
I am pleased to say that as of last week I am now the proud owner of a Sport Elise. It's not one of the original Autobytel cars, but was built by Cadena GTC from the spare chassis and parts they carried for their Britcar campaign in 2004. The car has had a few upgrades since it's build, including a 1.9 EVO2 engine from Scholar and a recently fitted Quaife sequential 'box with a flatshifter.
I live in Hong Kong and the car is just across the boarder in China in a city called Zhuhai, where I will race it in the 2 litre class of their Roadsport Championship. The car should be competitive, as it's a class it has won a few times before, but there is now a couple of supercharged bike engined 7s and three K20A FD2 Ariel Atoms all racing too which weren't there last time it won.
I'm a Lotus newbie, so still learning what's what. I'm paying lots of attention to that white time attack car and seeing what I can learn about aero. And trying to cut through the fear-mongering about the K-series.
Where do Lotus Racers hang out? Lotus on track looks very UK specific and only seems to have forums to discuss their race series with no technical forum. Any other recommendations?
