Some of you may have already seen this already, little video showing how softening up an Elise can change how easy it is to slide without binning it!

The car appears to be Honda converted and no doubt has aftermarket suspension (couldn't work out what it was). It's all pretty basic stuff and the results are fairly predictable I guess, but I thought it was cool anyway, and I quite like the look of the steel wheels!

You'd be mad to drive an elise on the road with the same width tyres front and rear...

Other than that, there's a lot of sense in that clip. Too many people lock out the suspension expecting it to improve the handling.

That's a great vid, especially with the subtitles. I like watching Tim Schrick but ain't got a clue what he's gassing on about most of the time. confusedbiggrin

The last couple of minutes are on this one ( no subs ) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r7H4LcJLgKQ

Looks a lot like undoing the modifications someone has made to turn a track car back into a road car.

honestly?

that's horrible on so many levels....

apart from the blatant advertising, what's it telling us that's not already well known?

ie:

1) semi-slicks are st road tyres
2) running a car too stiff on the road is bad.
