Hi

I need to replace the front tyres on the Elise but am getting slightly confused with the sizes/availability...

It currently has Yokohama Advan Neova 175/55 R16 80W on - I can't seem to find these at any local tyre shops. Eliseparts list a different size but say they are unavailable anyway.

Does anyone know where these tyres are available from? Are any other tyre sizes suitable?

Many thanks

Ooh, that's not good if the front AD07s are no longer available. Hopefully it's just a temporary supply problem.

The front tyres are a bugger to find, and expensive. They are a very unusual size for an "ultra high performance" tyre specification, most tyres that narrow are eco-tyres and most tyres that tall are wider. You won't find them at your normal tyre shop.

Your choices are - Lotus dealer, Lotus specialist or specialist website.

Where in the South West are you? I expect Brooke-Kensington in Bicester will have them in stock and are good people to deal with. Otherwise;

http://www.eliseparts.com (none in at the moment)

http://www.seriouslylotus.com/index.php/wheels-and... (seem to have some)

There was a French website selling them at good prices recently, can't remember what the url was though.

185/50's fit nicely and will increase front end grip somewhat.

And aren't available in either the AD07 or AD08 range, sadly.
