As I'm not happy with the light feeling from the front end on my Elise at speed I'm going to get a front splitter sorted. Can anybody recommend any fitters/suppliers in the northwest that would be up to the job without goosing the front clam? Also, if anybody has any pictures, experiences or problems that you've encountered any info would be great. In the future I may also get the SC rear spoiler too.

I've emailed a nameless lotus specialist that hasn't even bothered to reply to my email thus far so over to you guys. I've also not had a call returned from another Lotus parts specialist about buying a set of alloys. Money was ready to go and I had the card in my hand!! How do these clowns stay in business? It's beyond me!

It doesn't have to be a crazily expensive carbon version, fibre glass with a gel coat should do the job.

Thanks in advance, Simon.

I would recommend Phoenix Motorsport in Accrington. I've used them for years and have been very happy indeed with the quality of their work, to the extent that it would take some considerable persuading to send my Elise elsewhere. Their pricing is competitive, and they are well connected in terms of parts suppliers.

Their number is 01254 384071, ask for Ollie. Whilst there is an email link on the website, I'm not entirely convinced he actually receives the messages, so I would suggest you ring, or pop in.

Hope that helps!

PS - no connection to Phoenix other than being a happy customer.

Slightly off topic but I have a front splitter from my old 111R sitting in the garage. Slightly damaged but fully repairable and best of all free if you'd care to collect. Originally supplied by Sinclaires, Essex

1 google elise splitter
2 choose one and order it
3 go to nearest garage with fitting instructions
calling people clowns is odd behaviour

Thanks for the useful reply Ben, I should probably answer your fantastically well put point of view. They are clowns because they are turning away customers which, last time i checked, paid money for services rendered. I think that money helps business owners, oh I dont know, keep the lights on, pay staff, pay the mortgage. You know, stuff like that. To have an email for potential customers and not answer it in 2013 is a waste of time. Hence, clowns. Also I'd like:

1. I want someone that actually knows what they're doing.
2. The quality of parts online differs wildly so I would like somebody that is recommended to supply proper gear.
3. I'd like to know the person that is about to drill into my front clam has a bloody clue and not end up costing me a fortune fixing their cock up.

Thus far this week one specialist has lost an order and Demon Tweeks have gained one by providing a proper quality service.

So once more, thanks for the reply.

With regards to Pheonix, I'll give em call thanks. They're quite local too cheers.
