Can anyone give me any information/input for changing the standard throttle body to a 52mm upgrade. How noticeable is the performance and throttle response.

Secondly, Do people have a preference to the Hurricane induction system or the ITG induction system. I want to upgrade but not sure which one to buy. The ITG is more expensive, is it worth it? which sounds better?

Cheers

Difference the throttle body makes will depend on the engine - if it's standard 118bhp I doubt you'll see much benefit as it won't be the limiting factor.

In terms of throttle response I think it should make it more sensitive to smaller throttle openings, as you can get a greater volume of airflow through for the same throttle opening, but you might find you lose some adjust-ability at larger openings as say at 90% throttle it might be flowing all the air the engine can use, so the final press doesn't change anything.

Main benefit really is that the plastic throttle bodies were a bit prone to sticking.

In my opinion the Hurricane is a good choice. Very easy to fit and looks good too. ITG also looks very good with the fake carbon but given that its around twice the price of the Hurricane it's not twice as good. Even seconhand they are expensive-one for sale on SELOC now.

If you change the throttle body you also need to do the TPS reset procedure.
