Would be interested to here your comments on how you were received over here in France. My Elise always drew crowds here in France but became more 'ordinary' every time I got back to the UK. I also got far more pleasure from driving in France. UK driving was frustrating, not least because I always seemed to be in heavy traffic. Perhaps its the rarity of the car which sets it aside. In my 2.5 years of ownership I saw perhaps four cars during my travels on public roads. (asides trips to race tracks or meetings when more cars were seen). I've just come back from a 2000 mile France/Luxembourg/ Germany and the Elise was well received everywhere.
I've been to Le Mans 3 times and I've taken it on a 2000 mile trip around France/Spain.
The French mostly drive French cars, they seem happy with their Cleo's and small hatches and every other car seems to be a Berlingo. So a yellow does tend to Elise tends to stand out.

This is exactly what I did! We had a big Merc ML with all the gear in.
Seemed to have a great reception in France, people also seem to like it over hear too - I've had plant of comments already!, people don't notice it as much as the tvr but that's probably because the tvr had straight pipes and was at about 130db on full chat and popped and banged so they probably heard it before they saw it! I thought I'd miss the TVR but tbh I don't think I do, the exige more than makes up for it! Its much better put together and I love the engine - so revvy! Feels very racy! Next up is a track day... Was thinking silverstone or Bedford as they have nice big run off areas.
Starlight black is probably what I meant for the colour... Don't know where I got Moondust from?!
