Hi the central locking key mechanism stopped working over the weekend so I assumed there is a battery inside the key fob somewhere that can be changed? opening the key fob up isn't proving straight forward and I don't want to break it. Anyhow to add to the confusion its started working again. Any thoughts/suggestions? tks

Does it work for your spare key? If not then it could be the Central Dock Lock module has died as opposed to the key battery. Quite common I believe.

Yes spare key worked fine when I got home and the confusing thing is that they both work now. Is there a battery inside the key fob?

just don't do what I did once, and swap the battery in a shop, expecting it to work when you leave, it doesn't, they need pairing up.

(Cue a colleague rescuing me, to take me home to get the spare, take me back to the car, and me making an embarrassing trip to our local experts to help me pair up, doh!)

Can you remember the pairing procedure? Probably handy to post it for future reference in case i'm out and stranded.
