Loads of options:

Christopher Neil 260 upgrade, then can add bigger inter cooler for 270+ bhp

Hangar111 few different options starting at 280 (I think)

Komotec (again several options)

Full exhaust 4-1 manifold sports cat/decat back box etc....

Should be pretty safe till around 300bhp mark then some people have found gearbox to be issue so would need to upgrade this for more power.

Have a search on exiges.com or seloc loads different options been discussed before

Speak to Essex Autosport. http://www.essexautosport.com/content/contact.html

They can do all the engine mods and a "bespoke" map and not just an off the shelf map.

They can also upgrade the gearbox inc oil cooler for 300BHP+ Motors.

Speak to Wayne.

You will have to sit down with someone and go through each part one by one.

Each bit will have a cost and a benefit and you need to set a budget and decide what you want to get out.

TRD is a good air filter as it works well with the ECU.
You want 2bular 4:1
Decat
2bular back box to your spec.
Std intercooler is a joke so you either want a better one with cold air freed or a charge cooler + Smaller pulley.
Bigger fuel pump + bigger injectors.
Custom map just for your car and your spec.

If you don't want to spend a bundle the CN260 is a good value package.

You need to have a chat with the various people offering the kit and see which is best for what you want.

Great tks. So what's the price range in order to get to 260hp do u think ??? I can't see the point in spending 5k as u may as well buy a 260 cup with the extra cost whereas let's say £1k on an upgrade is fine

Yep worth it, it releases more low down torque so can feel difference. I went around croft few weeks back in Exige that had 260 upgrade and it was very good.

However If car is an investment and you don't intend selling maybe worth looking at hangar111 charge cooled system just depends how much you want to spend..... Only you can decide that smile

You also need uprated injectors so need to budget an extra c£500. 240PP cars have the uprated injectors as standard.

Does anyone know how much truth there is in what Lotus say about the gearbox not being good for more than 260bhp?

Guy I spoke to last nite said without the map it'll have an extra 10-15hp with those bits. I guess the only way to check is with a proper test. He did recommend a map as well however .
Tks again
