I've been eying up an Exige N/A for about a year, there's been some amazing ones come up.

I finally saved enough last month and theres been nothing decent for ages frown

I'm looking on pistonheads, SELOC, autotrader. Any others I should take note off?

It took me 3 months to find my latest purchase and even then I had to sacrifice on colour and spec etc.

They have either all gone outside the UK due the exchange rate changing in export favour or people are hanging on to them because the lack of new cars coming out of Lotus to replace them with.

Either way you will have to travel all over the place to find one like I did and and you will see a few rough diamonds on the way that's for sure!

When I went to the dealer to look at the car a guy was there from Germany to collect a NA Exige and drive it back the same day. Salesman said this is the norm and a lot of buyers are from mainland Europe at the moment. Get one quick before they all go.

The whole Elise market seems to be suffering from this; I suppose it'll start to push up prices as supply falls further below demand.

There seems to have been a few blacks/silvers go by, but they are the two I want to stay away from.

Im happy to travel around etc, used to doing this with my car history anyway.

I've missed out on 2, they were sold within hours of the adverts being placed.

I'll just have to bide my time frown

Worth having a chat with WillB on SELOC, Lotus Newcastle also seem particularly active at the moment, shifting cars every other day.

Thanks a lot, i'll have a look at newcastle lotus now.

I've seen WillB's pistonheads adds. I might email to ask him to email me if he gets anything in. Thanks a lot for your reply.

Thanks very much!

I'm still getting used to it at the moment.

It has a quicksilver exhaust on it at the moment, i'm not sure about this. Its very loud. I love the pops and bangs on it, but motorway driving is a bit painful. It kind of makes the stereo a bit redundant.

The standard stereo, blankput stereo seems a little weak, does everyone upgrade this?

It's extremely hard to get decent quality audio in an Elise because the cabin is tiny and mostly made up of hard surfaces. If you really want to listen to music in the car, your best bet is probably open-backed headphones and an mp3 player, to be honest.

Very nice.....

I can't remember what stereo mine is, Il have a look, it's not to bad, although when you put the hid lights on its goes a bit doooo lally...

Might be worth getting a speaker upgrade....
