Hi All,

A very new proud owner of an S2 Exige S.

One problem - noise :-)

The car has the standard exhaust on it and i need something that my neighbours will think the worlds ending when i start it :-)

Simple criteria - retain cat but i need an exhaust that is loud and provides lots of popping, crackling and banging on the overun.

Suggestions please as to make and where to source

Which version of the Larini? as they do quite a few different sorts?

I had a Larini Clubsport oval on mine. It was VERY loud. Lots of pops and bangs. Game over for track day Db levels though which you may want to consider.

2bular 8x22" catback on mine, very happy with it. Just enough volume with plenty of pops and bangs, but restrained enough for most tracks (only had an issue at Bedford drive-by so far, but that's not difficult!). Obv doesn't matter if this isn't a requirement.

Perfect. I can always re-install standard system for track days.

Where's the best place to purchase? Does any dealer hold in stock?

I used a sound meter app on my phone, and it registered just under 100db in the cabin with a club sport. I wasn't pushing on either! Earplugs are highly recommended - I've got a set of Alpine MotoSafe ones.

:-) :-) :-)

What a heap of FUN!!! and the NOISE!!! Epic!

Quick question, what does the car redline at? I've been too busy hanging on rather than look at the rev counter

Yes just under 9k you might have 3 warning lights in the rev counter which light up one at a time when you get near the limit

2bular or Larini are the traditional upgrades (differeing 2bular's are available for different sound). On a budget (which i was for my 111r), I went for a Lotus Stage 1, then Stage 2...Stage 1 was barely lighter, smaller or louded...Stage 2 was effin' loud when it hit second cam profile (and or from ebay for under £100). Also get a TRD filter, makes a lovely sound on seocnd cam (which even drowns out the stage 2). For yours (SC'ed?), think the Stage 3 was the lotus upgrade path.

Was glad to be shot of mine. Sure the pops and bangs on overrun were nice but the rest of the time it was just plain nasty (including awful customer service by Larini at purchase) and long journeys became torture to the point where I didn't want to drive the car. Happily found an Elise owner to buy it and haven't looked back since, the car's a pleasure to drive now.
