Asside from all the "hilarious" jokes about my knob keep falling off and it getting stiff etc etc... (yawn).. one of my heater control knobs keeps falling off... I notice that the grub screw that should be in the hole isn't there anymore.

Anyone tell me the specification of the grub screw and any ideas where I can buy one?

Can't help on the grub screw, but replacement knobs are about £10 + VAT and shipping.

Any decent hardware shop should be able to sell you the correct grub screw. Take your knob in with you and they'll find a metric grub screw that isn't too long. If they don't have anything in stock then you will at least have found out what size thread it is and you can just order a grub screw from the interent. It should cost pennies.

Or if you have some small metric screws knocking about you could always just find one that fits, saw the head off, saw a groove in the end and screw it in with a screwdriver.

Or blu-tack, or a bit of tape on the shaft the knobs slides on to.
