Tyre Fitting & Balancing

Hi all,

Need some suggestions on a DECENT tyre garage and balancing in the... Wigan (anyone) area.

I'm at the point were I'll be replacing my current tyres (on Exige rims) for a new full set, ready for summer.

I'm looking for a tyre place that can do a good job WITHOUT marking the rims and a proper balance job. I've been to so many places over the years (with other cars) and most of them seem to be a bunch of KNOBS who couldn't care less and the balancing (on my Elise) has never been any good, except when new, done by anyone in the local area... I'm just sick and tired (excuse the pun) of garages around here !

Ashton tyres and exhausts in Bryn have always been good in my experience. When it was there they used to do all the tyre fitting for the HL Gorner TVR and Brabus dealer just down the road.

Phoenix Motorsport in Accrington (I guess this is 20-25 mins from you if you are Wigan area.

He just put some new A048's on my Exige (Black wheels), not a single mark. Phoenix are Lotus specialists and they really know their stuff about everything Lotus. Gets original LTS tyres also if you are going that way.
