After 6 years away im finally making a return



Hello everyone, its been 6 long years since I sold my S1 lotus exige but I am finally ready to make a return to lotus ownership! I am turning 30 next week so its about time i start searching through the classifieds!

I am looking for a S2 Lotus Exige S (approximately 2007) and have this in mind

Any opinions welcome with regard to price or history of the car:

I would just like to briefly mention - I used to post regular on pistonheads forum a few years back but i didnt prove too popular due to conflicts in my post - However, I am much older and much wiser now and hope my history from that site will not affect my posts on here!!

For an Exige it doesn't seem to stand out. I think it's a colour thing or perhaps the photos don't do it justice. looks 'ordinary' and I'm surprised myself that I'm saying that.

What a crap advert! Its a 1.8 for a start, its pricey for an 06 car and colour wise its,um, a tad dull

Cheers for the honesty guys. Did have my eye on a yellow exige that was for sale in Scotland but ad was removed!

That advert would put me off, if the seller doesn't know that it's a 1.8 then they're clearly not knowledgeable about the brand and the car in particular. I'd therefore assume that they haven't looked after it. Is also way too expensive.

Have a look at what Will Blackham has to offer (willb on here and Seloc) as he sometimes has Exiges that are around your budget. He's a good guy and will see you right.

Is that car in question a 240R? Looking at the pictures it looks like it- says it on the rear clam unless of course they've just put a decal there??? If a genuine 240R then the price is not too bad but depends on service history/ condition.
