I've got an S1 - is there a heated windscreen available for it?

Anyone had one of these fitted? Any issues? How much for someone to fit and wire one of these up?

I have one on my S1 (as said, same as S2 minus the trim)
only real downside is they are a bit fragile and the heater failure rate from new is quite bad.
Can't comment on them in the Elise, but both our Ford's have them fitted and I don't like them - as you say the elements fail (my cars is pretty much useless as it only demists about 1/5th of the screen!) and I find with a low sun or at night with oncoming headlights it can be quite distracting the way the wires diffract the light - you get strange effects akin to staring through a cheap camera lens.only real downside is they are a bit fragile and the heater failure rate from new is quite bad.
I've gotten used to it a bit after a year or so of having the car, and it wouldn't be so bad if the damn things at least demisted the screen, but I wouldn't choose to have them again. If I ever get a chip in the screen I'll have it replaced with a standard one.

That is one benefit of the K series weighing 2/3rds of bugger all, they warm up quick.
People often say that, but it actually takes longer for my Elise to start blowing warm air than the wife's Skoda. Gassing Station | Elise/Exige/Europa/340R | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
