Hi, im hoping someone might be able to help the shift / alarm light above the tacho in my S2 Elise is on all the time?, it goes off if you hold in the alarm button on the key but comes straight back on. The car runs / drives fine and the alarm appears to be working correctly. The car has a Honda conversion (not sure if this makes a difference?)

Any ideas / thoughts apprechiated.

I had this problem on my old Exige, turned out to be the ecu, garage removed the ecu then when replaced it car would not start. New ecu and problem went away.
Hope this helps

Looking back at your original post I see you have had a Honda conversion, I expect the ecu was changed at that point. Could it be an electrical short causing the problem? Are all the connections around the ecu dry?
