Hi, I'm strongly considering a Honda Elise (K20) conversion in the coming weeks as long as I get a reasonable enough insurance quote (without paying through the rear TOO much!).

Does anyone under the age of 25 own a Honda (N/A) converted Elise?

If so, what NCB do you have and what were your quotes?

Cheers.

Good luck fella, it seems you need to be over 40 to sensibly insure an Elise these days.
Be prepared to have your trousers pulled down i'm afraid... frown

Definitely. Think I'll need all the luck I can get. Will see how it goes with insurance quotes after a few calls.

Maidstone Sports Cars said they've had a few under 25's come in for the conversion so there must be some insurers out there with a gentle approach on the whole bending-over front!

I was 25 when I insured my SC Honda S2, £500 with Henderson Taylor with unlimited mileage.
It was down to £390 in January at renenwal.

I suspect that there must just be some under 25s with a load of money.

Try Classicline. Im insured on an Elise 111r with no no claims through them for £610 per annum. You have to own/insure another car to get the policy though.

I am 24 BTW.

Actually wasn't as bad as I thought - quoted £2000 with my current (Adrian Flux). Next cheapest quote from them was £6000!

Yet to phone anywhere else so will surely get it cheaper. beer
