S2 Repairs

Hi All,

well the insurance company look like they're finally gonna cough up.
Anyone know roughly how long a front clam and crashbox replacement will take ? Needs a little bit of a repair on the back wheel arch too.

One thing that I did wonder about was whether I should or even could ask for the replaced bits...
The front Clam could possibly be repaired and possibly the crash box but I figure the headlight and indicator which are being replaced could be salvaged... Worthwhile or a waste of time ?

Last time I had just the front clam replaced, it was close to £5K I think. Done by a main dealer

If the insurance company are paying for parts to be replaced, surely the old bits belong to them?

I'd guess a couple of weeks to do that lot?

I had a new front clam 18 months ago- total value of the claim was £4.5k.

It takes about a day to remove the old crashbox, jig and bond a new one in place, which should then be left to cure. A clamshell and arch fix would probably onlt take a few days. Sounds like a weeks worth without seeing the damage..

Great response everyone... the repairs are in progress and I can see they reckon it'll be done at the end of the week.

sorry meant to say Front clam, crashbox, rear (sort of scuff) + full geo... £6,900.00
