Hello.

I bought of an old set of wheels of a chap who used to sprint his S1 Exige. They were pretty tatty when I got them because the matte black paint had developed a "bloom" of white. Whether it was due to being left outside for years or what I don't know.

I gave them a soaking with WD40 while tring to remove the marks from sticky wheel weights and as a side effect the white bloom vanished and once I'd wiped them dry the wheels were a lovely uniform matte black.

I was reminded about this at the weekend - it's lasted three years now.

It's a top tip for anyone with S1 Exige wheels who has neglected them for years. So I'm not sure this is going to be any use to anyone...

Good tip smile The Matte black paint does tend to look a bit tatty after a while. Mine need a proper refurb at some point soon (they buckle really easily, and pretty much most of them will need a straighten by now!) but that's a good maintenance tip smile
