Morning all
I just had news that the insurance company are going to write off my car because of an accident I had last week. Its a shame as I have had it nine years, its still got pretty low millage and its never let me down. I dont fancy buying it back as I cant be bothered with owning a CAT D write off.

Anyhoo I still have a colour coded hard top and a lotus luggage rack, so my question is there much value in these items or shall I just get rid of them with the car?
Honest answers please no "I'll take them off you if you pay me to" =)

Thy must have some kind of value.

What luggage rack is it and where does it mount. I thought the boot lid was not strong enough to support a rack

S1?

OEM luggage rack is rather rare, I'd imagine you could get quite a bit for it.

OEM hard top will sell all day long for £600-£800 in good condition, so definitely hold on to it / sell it separately.

Yep, I paid £600 for a colour coded S1 hard top a couple of years ago. Winter is a good time to be selling one too.

Wow didnt realise the roof was worth so much! Thanks for the information

Cotty, The luggage rack actually attaches to the rear clam with suction cups either side of the boot lid, takes a while to trust that all your luggage is not going to fly of on the motorway but it works well

Thanks for the replys

I paid £750 for a Second hand (but pristine) colour coded S2 hardtop (which is great by the way)

They are good. I have been out in massive downpours and not a leak in sight.
