Elise S2 Odometer Reading Retrival
Discussion
Hi Guys,
I'm new to the Piston Heads Forums and would like to ask your advice Re my Elise S2 2001 K Series.
It had an alternator regulator failure a few days ago, which has resulted in a new alternator unit being fitted.
During the incident itself, the dash went off completely and restarted a couple of times.
Unfortunately (horror) the mileage reading on the Odometer has returned to zero.
I am uncertain as to whether this must be re entered externally, or whether it can be retrieved.
Any ideas at all? It would be very much appreciated!
Kind Regards
Simon

Hi Simon,
I have just recently changed a broken speedo/instrument cluster on a 996 Porsche .The replacement part was as obviously set to zero so in order to keep everything correct I called a speedo correction guy out.£120 later the speedo was correct mileage although think he was surprised as not usual practice for him to wind forward!Cheers.
