What's an S1 with 140k miles on worth?

Thanks chaps; I was thinking around the 5.5 mark. I might just stick it on a SORN for a few years, I'm not going to give it away. I just need a more practical car for some upcoming high business miles and I can't afford to run 2 cars but seeing as it's not really going to depreciate much, I might as well store it in the garage for a bit.

Cloud cuckoo land, market isn't that strong IMO. Considering you can buy nice, straight and original cars with 60k or less for £8k, 111S with well under 100k for around £9k, I doubt there's a chance in hell of getting £7k unless there's something unusually good about the car.
Original radiator, head gasket, clutch etc is not a selling point, as you're sitting on a bill of £2k+ in the very near future, would make me walk unless v.cheap.
And I did buy a car with much higher miles than most, so not adverse to high mileage Elises.
Mine's got 106k on it, drives better and in better order throughout than plenty I've seen with 50k on. Buy on condition, specification, history. I'd say £6-£6.5k still if it's all in good order.
Also a standard S1 complete with MMC brakes etc is getting harder to find. I'd keep it tucked up, if you sell it you're bound to miss it.

Sold mine 98 in April for 6700 with 118k on the clock - took a few weeks to go to.
It was in very good nick with a fair few mods - including S2 suspension and 146hp. But original clutch and radiator.
Price started at 8500 and gradually got reduced until I got a buyer.
I think he got a bargain. But other offers were from abroad and were beaten to it by a UK buyer.

Over £4k with 18 bids and 4 days to go, can see that goiing up a fair bit nearer the end of the auction, and 5 years laid up? That one, (went for just over £5k) is a complete dog compared to mine so I'd guess mine is worth nearer £6k based on that sale price. The other 104k mile one looks very good to me although I'm not a fan of blue seats; it has to worth 6ishk of anyone's money. I took mine out for a spin the other day and it was fantastic in every way. I have as a daily drive now a 2 litre turbo Audi A3, and although it's actually faster in the real world (oddly it's exactly twice the weight and twice the power, 240bhp and 1400kg as opposed to 120bhp and 700kg) the Lotus blows it away in terms of driving pleasure, handling, throttle response and ultimate economy.
For those that were fishing for a piccy... (Note that the original wheels are in the garage, and this is a picture of it while in daily use and not as clean as it could be.)
