Hi All, imported a non-EU Exige S, and I need to replace the exhaust- current one is dead (collapsed metal 200cell cat, exhuast box blown and a hole in a pipe).

I would like to buy a 2bular system, but since I need a new CAT, was wondering if the 2bular 200cell metal sports cat would pass an MOT for emissions? if it did i would only need to change the muffler itself after the test... if not.... i'd need 2x CATS....

If anyone has a a standard exige S cat & muffler laying around, i'd rent it (if you keep it for MOT) or buy it if its of no further use...

I have a 2bular 200 cell sports cat fitted (well, I will pop it back on at MOT time at least wink ) Jim assured me it will pass emissions ... I will know for sure in October.

Yep, should be fine with 200 cell. As always, though, it's best to get it nice and hot just prior to test.

Ah Ok, thats good to know... I sent Jim an email, last week asking him to confirm whether emissions meant UK emissions for a 2007 car...

heat has not been a problem... it currently has a 3" mandrel bent system and 100cell metal cat and straight through in/out 3" muffler... the metal cat has completely failed... and the engine movement has snapped the exhuast hangar on on the drivers side..

but anyway, will run a decat after the MOT as clearly cats cause a lot of heat...
