Help with a valuation

Hi,
I've been chatting with a friend about selling him my Elise, but am not 100% sure of the price I should ask. It's a 2002 Elise S2 Sports Tourer, 29k miles with a full Lotus service history (all from the local supplying dealer), Ice blue with a blue roof, blue leather and blue carpets.
What are peoples opinion on the going rate for actual selling prices?
On another note I'm having a major wobble about selling it at all! Part of me thinks I'd be mad to turn down an easy sale but then another part thinks I'll miss it too much!
Thanks!

Actual selling price is up to £10k. Has the car suffered HGF yet, has the suspension been refreshed, has the cambelt been changed at least twice(every four years regardless of mileage)? Car's now ten years old and despite low mileage may need some TLC. Are the tyres fresh, over six years old and they should be replaced. Is it the long roof version? Buyers prefer the short roof for easy removal or they go for the S1 instead.
Sounds a nice colour combination but you will miss it and nothing similar drives like a Lotus Elise. Good luck with the sale.

£10K is too cheap.
Your car is £13K - so perhaps £12K or £12.5K selling price at a dealer.
Yes, they have a profit margin to make, blah, blah, blah but how much comfort/protection does a buyer really get when buying a 10 year old car from a dealer? Not much I would argue.
So if you think you would get £10K from a dealer if you sold it and your mate would roll up and have to pay £12K or so for it from the dealer, £11K gives you both £1K benefit.

No problem
Not sure I would sell to a friend though to be honest.
You are both going to have to be very grown up about it should something break on the car once in his ownership.
A fair comment, but I know the car has been well looked after in the 2 years I've had it and I'm not selling it with any known faults. I'm sure he equally knows that at the end of the day he's buying a 10 year old Lotus and doesn't have any unrealistic expectations.. Not sure I would sell to a friend though to be honest.
