Prices on used s3
Discussion
I've been offered a 1.6 s3 one owner 5900 mile 2010 car for 20k pounds. It is immaculate and white with black wheels. I know where it's been and seems a fair price to me. Is it worth more or actually less ? I am a bit out of touch on these cars as I haven't owned an Elise for eleven years !
Stratstones have had a couple of S3s advetised in the past year or so, up for about 19-20K. I never looked at them so I couldnt say what condition they were in. The two Stratstone cars seemed to be a good 2K less than any other S3 for sale at the time, but then they didnt have the best spec. White colour probably adds a bit to the value, but then again it isnt a trade sale.

I'm looking for an S3 if you can find me one for 18...Looking at the prices for quite a while now and I never seen one under 20 except for the ex Lotus track car.
Although the sun is not shining, you are buying at the peak season. Keep looking would be my recommendation and don't be handing over 20k for an s3 unless it's a mint sc.Scrambled said:

Realistically, I'd look to sell mine for approx £20k. As new, in white 1.6 on a '12 place with aircon, touring pack and 1500 miles.
Definitely a buyers market...
Are you serious? A 1,500 mile '12 plate for 20K. Dropping 10K in 4 months!?!Definitely a buyers market...
Someone will have your arm off.
The 1.6 is a cracking little thing for road use, but surely anyone wanting to spend over £20,000 on a used elise is either going to buy a slightly older more powerful model, or, if they do want to spend that sort of money on a nearly new 1.6, they'll probably go into the dealer network. I just don't see a strong private market for £20k+ 1.6s.
Wouldn't change mine for the world though !

When I was buying a few months ago I got the dealer down to £26,200 with the spec above
That's a very good deal. Mine was a few hundred more with a hard-top. Still a good discount on a £33.5K list though!I wonder how many of the people who 'would go out and buy a new elise tomorrow if only they cost £25K' would be surprised how close they are to costing what they always used to.
It's the only new car I've ever bought and I would have much preferred a nearly new one, but there were very few and the savings we not great.
