Have got the option of getting an Elise from a good friend of mine. Is a little bit over my budget so will have a borrow a couple of grand on top of selling my current 2 cars. Was just wondering if its good value as the market seems to be all over the place at the minute.

Car is a 2000 on a V, yellow S1 Elise 1.8. with 59k miles, including quick release Momo wheel, full history, cat1 alarm, years MOT, 6 months tax and in generally cracking condition.

What sort of money is this worth to give me that final push into buying it.... wink

I'd say probably 9k from a private seller? Maybe 10k if it's in really good condition.

Really depends, what's the service history like? When was suspension last refreshed?

So if it was on full bilstein suspension and recently polybushed all round for £7k.... Should I be biting his hand off!?

Not an expert on S1 prices, but if it's on the S2 suspension (and it's still in good order) and with bushes etc. done and everything else is in good order then I'd say that sounds like a good price.
