Coming up for a rear tyre change soon. Slightly intrigued as over here in France I had a quote for a pair of Pirellis that came in at 280 euros (£225) fitted and balanced (Discounted 30%). After that there were bridgestones at 340 euros (£275). I dont recall Pirellis featuring in any of the tyre debates, is there a reason. Not a track man, just after a good tyre for all weathers and seasons that doesn't cost an arm and a leg and gives me sensible mileage. How do these prices compare with UK because I could eventually wait until I'm across on holiday.

My other dilemna is a service is due but I'm not in the UK for four weeks or so. Don't want to service the car in France. Am I stupid to consider an oil and filter change at a French national company as a fix using standard filter for the Toyota engine. (model 2006 R) To me doesnt seem an issue but I'm not a 'techy' Even considered a brake pad check and replacement if necessary. Then get the rest checked when I'm back in the UK.

The Bridgestones seem well priced to me, I don't think you can gert them in the Uk anymore, not with the Lotus compound anyway. I believe Subarus use the samne size tyre but the weight of the car means they are substantially different. I think the last time I paid for bridgestones they were about £140 each. (fitted).

An A service isn't much more than an oil n filter change plus a good looking over. You can probably risk it wink
