Take a drive over to Salisbury and hand it over to the guys at Sportmotive.

They know Loti inside and out.

For the sake of a 40 minute drive I just couldn't take mine any where else.

Sportmotive are experts, it is a ball ache for just an MOT.
For just an MOT I went to Boscombe Manor Garage. Very good service, reasonable prices and guys who do a great job. My car failed on headlight aim. They set up the lights and re- test, £60...

I take it you live in Southbourne and they are just round the corner from you?
I take my Caterham to Boscome Manor, Tony and Grahame always look after me and take the piss. Do not know why I did not think of them in the first place, if they have experience of jacking up our cars this is the place to go.
Thanks Phil

I use Sportomotive for the MOT & Service each year. Highly regarded and you get to bump into other Lotus owners(LotuStu last time). They open Saturday mornings too, which makes it easier. Going to get absolutely creamed this year, new pads, plugs and a 3rd item I've forgotten, plus I'm pretty certain I'm going to need new shocks too.
All of this will lead me to starting a new thread later in the year on what Pads/Shocks people recommend, but not until closer the time.

If it's just an MOT I use Forest Corner Garage in Ringwood

I just did the front drop links on my S1, noticed the front pads were a little low, had some on the shelf, could not believe how easy they were to fit, 10 minutes per side possible, took longer as I cleaned everything up and greased bits.
Remove "R" clips
tap pins out
remove anti squeal plate
pull out pads
push pistons back in
insert new pads

I got exactly the same service at Halfords. For £25-ish.
