Watching the video all through the driver spends a lot if time one handed and increasingly runs wide towards the end.
I agree with the front wheels locking giving severe understeer and simply sliding straight on analysis, posted already on here. To fast for the conditions, not enough appreciation of the deteriorating road contact. Not at all smooth in the drive throughout IMO.
I think we have all been there with modern front wheel drive cars. When they go, they go. I still prefer the tail out racing, but the margin of safety and inherent natural recovery of front wheel drive with inexperienced drivers has meant almost universal adoption.
