2010 Insurance - £350
2011 insurance - £349 same car, same policy (with CCI)
2012 renewal quote, same car, same circumstances, £580!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHAT?!furious

Considering going SORN as only do about 800mls per year, would be a shame though

Try AA, just paid £162 including NCB cover on £9000 S1 Elise, limit 3500 miles.

I have just had the same on my S1 Adrain flux renewal £499, CCI £356 whent back to Flux £355 furious
every year I have the same thing get a quote stupidly high go to CCI phone back flux who match it. I should be happy as its £30 less than last year but we seem to go through this stupid dance evry year.

Do you have commuting cover on it as that is what most people are saying is bumping up the prices??? If you have try Pleasure use only and a mileage limit (say 3 or 5k miles) you may be surprised.

There is "commuting cover" and "commuting cover". I had a classic insured without commuting cover. I wanted to use it to get to work for a few weeks and called the insurers. They said that as I was going to park it in the car park at work, rather than on a street or left at a train station all day, then I was covered with no extra charge.

So it's worth phoning and checking what's really covered - the cheaper option might still give you the cover you need.
