New Lotus R touring owner :)

Totally different beast really.
Am keeping on the Turbo aswell and it immediately feels like a proper GT car after driving the Elise. Front end grip is great on the Elise, was really missing that after changing from the boxster s. Although once you go over the limit the elise tends to understeer then go into oversteer in a predictable wat whereas the 911 tends to understeer amd keep on understeering unless you set it up to oversteer, which is what i was expecting with the lotus since they have pretty much the same weight distribution.
The cls now feels amazingly smooth haha despite when we initally got it, it had felt a bit unmercedes like due to the AMG wheels with low profile tires - noisy and tramlining.

I bought it private sale.
The chap only gave me one key and immobiliser. He has purchased it from an authorised lotus dealer and he said they only gave him one. Is this normal?

Congrats on your great choice of motor, enjoy.
Thanks chaps, will find out what happened to the second key. Car is still standing in the driveway so I guess he doesn't have the other one.
Need to learn more about general maintainance on the car. Took some of it apart today to clean it properly. Lots of things are loose - seat bolts panel trims and there was a lot of dampness in the boot so removed all carpets to dry and hoovered all the nooks and crannies. What else should I be doing?

Makes sense. Will try and park it so the car if facing downhill.

Because of the position of the drainage holes, the boot may take in water if parked on a slope as the water collects at the back of the channel and then overflows into the boot. Congrats on the car
