I'm in the process of fitting a K20A engine to my S1 and think it would be nice / sensible to have some oil pressure and temp gauges added whilst I do it. However, I have no idea what range the K20A would run at on track (and road - but should be less of a concern).

Can anyone help?!

Oh and hello by the way...

I asked the same thing a while ago, but can't for the life of me remember where.

Anyhow, on my Honda Elise (Fitted with oil cooler) the pressure always sits around 70 when warm (about 30/40 at idle) and the temp never exceeds 110 even on a warm day and a very long track session. (I get carried away) Normally though it rarely gets to 100 on track or road.

Pressure on mine is about 6 bar when under proper load and it idles around 2.5.

Temps... well sort of as above.... on the road I run 80C mostly, but on track I've had it some way over 120C - but then mine's S/C & CC

S1 Honda N/A

Dubious Revotec dials but here's mine:

Oil temp - Runs at 80 - 100c on the road. 120 - 140c on track (dubious as to howe accurate they are, i.e. over reads.

Oil pressure - 40 psi at idle when very hot, 80 psi when normal idle. 100+ psi when on the move.
