I am looking at purchasing an Elise, and would like to have it inspected by a specialist. The seller is based in North London.
Where would you recommend to have it taken to.

PSR Automotive in Herts might be the nearest. Otherwise Morland and Jones in Hammersmith or Essex Autosport on the A12.

I use Essex Autosport http://www.essexautosport.com/ and have always found them to be very good.

Paul at PSR will sort you out. Sinclairs/Essex Autosport are also good but generally more pricey.

Also the car has a cracked rear bumper, anyone know roughly how much one costs, cannot seem to find a price by googling

Its got a cracker rear bumper? Elises don't have bumpers as such, they have a one piece rear clam, that covers the whole rear of the car, back from the roll bar. The cost of a new one is in the £2,000 ball park, so if it really needed a new one, I'd go find another 111R. However the specialists you've been recommended would be able to give you an idea of the crack would be repairable.... if its small, that could be a cost effective solution and would give you a bargaining tool with the vendor.

Wow, that's hefty. Will have to get that looked into in depth.
Trying to find a good s2 111r buying guide, as most of the guides cater for the k series. Or is there not much to look out for on he 111r, it is an 06 model.
