Okay, I know the Elise is perfect etc ;-) but if you had to change one thing about it what would it be?

I personally would like it to be quieter in the cockpit, but then I do have Tinnitus so I am a bit touchy about loud sounds at the best of times.

Apart from that, then hey, its perfect ;-)

I would change the gearchange mechanism. My car feels like the stick is connected to the box by Meccano.

Other than that, it's perfect.

I would like to suggest a change of tyres for you then. You're not using Pirelli Poo-Zeros are you?

slightly more power (which can be bought obviously)
a 'noise in cockpit' level selector! so it can quiet or noisy!
side mounted rockets
front mounted laser cannon

thats about it really!

1) A way of locking Elise doors from inside the car (as a security measure).

2) Better positioning of the stereo (ever tried changing a cd while driving?)

3) An interior clock (just a tiny small one) would be nice.

I'd vote for:

1. A secure (lockable) boot so I can leave it with the roof off.
2. Nightmare's "Cockpit Noise Selector" so that when I get out after a two hour drive it doesn't feel like I've just walked outside after an Iron Maiden concert.
3. Better radion reception (for those short moments when you can actually hear it).

How about making it another 3-4 inches lower? Why? Coz then you could sneak under those parking barriers :-) ... you can almost do it at the moment. ;-)

1. Smoother 6 speed box
2, Roof that doesn't leak
3. Paint that doesn't chip ??
4. More Power - 200 h.p + would be nice ?
5. Factory fitted perspex covers for head/spot lights, that don't fog up.............
6. CD stacker/better speakers & speaker locations ! - sorry Lotus, surely a door mounted speaker would have been easier/better ?
7. Dimmer on the interior gauge lights

I don't mind the noisy CP, it's all part of the package, just turn up the badly located speakers !!

All of above can be fixed with $$$$$$ apart from that the car is brilliant, handles, looks, individualistic !
O and I'll take a pair of those side mounted rockets, and that lazer gun thingy and while were all dreaming this chick (http://suzi-simpson.com/) sitting in the front all foamed up and ready to GO !!!!!

OK back to reality............guys !

hmmmm

1) an airbag ( will need it one day the way i drive..)
2) a larger cockpit - its ok for one but rather cosey for two
3) a radio that works
4) a roof that can be raised while driving a la z3
5) depreciation of a boxster
6) a washer bottle that is acessible when its pouring down on the m1
7) central locking
8) more power to cope with the weight i've just added!
9) abs - purists might object but i nearly said hello to the car in front in the rain once when looking to the side for speed cameras
10) decent dealers
11) a larger petrol tank

other than that its perfect - mine has never leaked and bar a few sticky locks has not gone wrong in its 16k miles...yet
