After several re gases I have come to the conclusion that I might need new pipes. The original ones (metal) fail due to corrosion. Looking on the DeRoute Ltd parts list, they list alternative hoses but refer to 'See Service Bulletin 2006/33'. Has anybody got a copy or know the contents of this bulletin, it might be useful before I buy the parts.......

When I got my 111R at 4k miles the aircon didnt work. After several visits to the dealer and one to the factory it still didnt work. A regas would last maybe 2 weeks max. Then I tried a dealer in Cardiff and he found that the system had been assembled by Lotus with some of the seals missing.

Only mention this to say - dont assume pipe corrosion. It would have to be pretty bad to perforate and leak gas

My system is now still working well on an 07 car

If it does turn out to be the pipes I have a pair of Pirtek flexible ones For £180 a pair, direct fit, bought two sets but didn't build the Exige in the end so not needed smile
