Hi all.

Settling into the new (to me) 111R. It's as standard currently. I was wondering what people do in terms of induction kits? Is there a 'no brainer' option that you all go for?

I hope it improves the sound a bit, but will it offer any noticeable increase in power?

Thanks,

Nick

Induction Kit makes a nice noise but no difference in power because the ECU will peg the back to 189BHP.

I have tried Pipercross, K & N Apollo and TRD.

Pipercross sounded the best IMHO.

How easy are the TRD kits to fit?

TRD was a bit dull for my liking. Pipercross has a decent roar and the hurricane makes the passenger seat vibrate like a bass speaker _ that was fantastic in my R.

Never had any Mil Light probs on my NA with the Pipercross.

Great noise on second cam.

I had K & N with a 2bular exhaust and it sounded mega. Bit noisy for general use but that's kind of the point of a silly car in my eyes.

+1

Easy to fit, quiet off cam, angry on cam, looks standard to the untrained eye. Wheel off, liner off, remove old filter, remove old filter back box from baulkhead and couple of hoses and hose clamp. Then re fit piece of *iss.
Well worth it, all for about £90 and 90 mins of your time.
