Lotus to GT2/3

Has anyone gone from an Elise/Exige to Porsche GT2/3. I've had a number of Porsches and bought the S2 Exige on a bit of a whim. I've loved the simplicity of it and the massive step down in running costs but have recently been looking at 996 GT2/3s.
Whilst excited about this I couldn't help wondering if I was doing the right thing as I parked my trusy Exige outside the Porsche indi this afternoon. I've really come to love the placid if slightly harsh nature of the Exige and the fact all the power can be used with confidence almost all of the time.
To be fair on the drive home, the glasses were less rose tinted and I could see quite how accomplished the GT cars really are, but I'd be keen to hear +ve /-ve's from anyone who has made the move.
