hi guys,

i know that all the s1 exiges were rhd only, but is the same true for the s1 elise?

also, were the s2 exiges produced in LHD for markets other than the US?

i'm looking for a left hook s2 exige but the yanks want too much money and all the ones in budget on autoscout et al are all RHD. what gives?

More than half the S1 Exiges were LHD actually. A good number of S1 Elises were LHD too. There are decent numbers of LHD variants of most Elise and Exige variants in continental Europe.

i honestly didn't realise that! i would much prefer an s1 exige. the owners must be clinging onto them though as i haven't seen a single lhd s1 or s2 exige for sale thus far.

Best thing you'll ever do! Been out for a 100 mile thrash around the Yorkshire Dales today. Spent the whole time laughing at the silliness of it all.

there are lots of LHD also in the EU, 2 places you can look are here>>

here about 170 elises, the cheaper onces are mostly imported RHD but most are LHD

http://suchen.mobile.de/fahrzeuge/search.html?isSe...

and here some 40 Exige's, most LHD

http://suchen.mobile.de/fahrzeuge/searchrefine.htm...

here another big one, about 240 Elises most LHD (cheaper are mostly RHD)

http://www.autoscout24.eu/ListGN.aspx?atype=C&...

and here almost 90 Exige's

http://www.autoscout24.eu/ListGN.aspx?atype=C&...

I collected English (normaly I look in Dutch or German) so it could be a bit different.

excellent, cheers rene.

i had looked at autoscout across europe but forgot about mobile.de! pity my needing aircon as there's a great looking BRG one on there at a good price.

You can buy a car with aircon..... but there's no guaranteeing it will work for long

as long as it's the s2 with toyota engine, don't worry about that. first thing i'd do would be to bin whatever's there and chuck on an uprated unit. still got winter [mid 20s every day] to go til it's needed though!

had a good look through the links rene supplied and the price difference between a lhd and rhd car is quite large, and there's much more bargains to be had from the uk classifieds.

shirt maths says an rhd car plus parts to convert to lhd may be a better option, especially as i'd have the rhd bits for when/if i move somewhere where i need that.

does anyone supply a conversion kit of parts? i'll join seloc tonight and trawl the forums, but is there a pic thread convering this anywhere?
