Am thinking of upgrading of upgrading...

As per the title, has anyone fitted a Larini Sports exhaust and Sports Cat to a Lotus Elise 111S. If so, how loud is it at 4k revs (in case I want to do a track day!). No point doing it, if it turns out that it will be too loud. Dont mid the loudness generally on the motorway as the car barely gets used!

Any opinions in getting it done more generally. Any alternatives (that dont cost too much!)

S2 or S1?

S2 - will be too loud.
S1 - will be ok

My S2 111S with Hurricane induction, Piper 4-2-1 manifold, standard cat and 2bular 8x24 single exit exhaust, passes everywhere even Goodwood.

As an aside the only place that asks for 4k revs is Combe, everywhere else its usually 3/4 max rpm, so 5,400 on a 111S.

Got a Larini sport and K&N filter on mine and even at motorway speeds it isnt too loud.
Hasn't been measured at track day but it is much quieter than my 111r with lotus stage 2.

Mr Bandit - answer quick!!
The garage is due to fit the exhaust today. Now if you tell me you have had it tested, and its fine, then I would much prefer to go down the Larini exhaust route (just don't want to take the risk!!)
