Guys,

currently fitting the above and am scratching my head over the brackets supplied. I have a kit which comes with 15/45mm lowering brackets. I only want to lower it by 15mm. There appears to be only one postion the new rear brackets will fit which really lowers the rear much more than 15mm. Does this mean I should only fit the new front brackets and disgard the new rear ones and reuse the existing ones instead?

Hmmm.....

this is the Bilstein/Eibach kit BTW. So with two installed on one side using the brackets provided, the car is now 30mm lower on one side. Seems a bit low to me.

Not the normal of way of measuring ride height but from ground to centre of the wheel arches I was 649mm rear and 639mm front. With the Bilstein and brackets fitted I am now 30mm lower on each.

that's not much help in trying to understand where you are...

from memory, the kit should end up at ~125/135mm (measured from the chassis)

So with the kit fitted the car is now 125mm front and 115mm rear. Seem ok?

The ride quality has improved significantly. Seems like my old Konis were well and truely shot.

No.

Are you sure you have them the right way round?

Pictures would help...

Pretty sure they are the right way round, according to the labelling on the springs anyway. Elise Parts were unable to tell me what they would expect the final ride height to be. Here are some pics but not sure how useful they are.

Front looks good, rear can't read the number etc.

Well, I guess we will soon find out - I will be at the Nurburgring for the rest of the afternoon laugh

Probably best to get it checked over by my local garage next week. Thanks for helping.

in the short term, I would change the rear mounts for the std ones and see where that put's you....

What Simon says, I think you need standard rear brackets
