Hi, the MIL light on my 2004 111R is constantly on and I have been advised by a reliable source that the PIPERCROSS Induction system could be the problem. (makes a great noise but apparently flawed)

I am contemplating changing to the ITG Maxogen & just checking if anyone has had MIL problems with it.

Thanks

Hi -I have an 04/54 111R with ITG, but it also has full Larini manifold and sports cat +box. The Mil light does come on sometimes and then may stay on for a few days, sometimes longer. It tends to come on if I have been caught in traffic and having to pootle. If its driven like its supposed to be then this doesnt happen! I also found cleaning the ITG filter helps keep the Mil off. I think the induction and exhaust I have makes the emissions marginal and the light is triggered sometimes when driving quietly.
Nothing to worry about though

I had problems with my ITG and 2ubular exhaust with the MIL light coming on. I sold the ITG and bought the Toyota TRD box and then had no more problems. Much cheaper than both the ITG/Pipercross and still a good noise too

Larini sport cat & exhaust, standard air box. Occassional MIL. Always code- cat operating outside optimal range.

Been on the car since 2005.

The only way to avoid MIL issues is to use the OEM fitment TRD(Toyota Racing)airbox, its £70 so not even like its expensive.
