power through pg 1 gear box ?

Hi all ,so whats the concensus on the amount of power / torque a pg 1 gearbox can handle , also any thoughts on lsd s , does it make an Elise a bit twitchy ????

well lots of people have run 220-250bhp through them for many miles ...I did 55K miles on one before with 220bhp ish no issues

depends what you are doing though...motorway road use is a bit different to 24 hour endurance racing

fast road , and some sprinting , also some track days , is my thinking ?

The S1 Exige was available with an uprated version of the PG-1 box (B4BPU) and a LSD version (B4BPQ). You can find a bit more info here: http://wiki.seloc.org/a/Rover_PG1_gearbox

Couple people over on SELOC have had cars fitted with LSD's, I think Sammyturbo is selling his Sport 160 with a Quaffe diff so might be worth talking to him.
