Hi Hunter885, no problem.
Feel free to ask any questions you may have.
Also, get yourself onto other Lotus forums, especially, SELOC - lots of good info on there.
In terms of +/- and running costs over 25,000 miles, I have spent:
£4,706 in fuel (mostly premium) and averaged 31.77 MPG - mostly M/way, fast A/B roads, 80/90mph in the cruise.
£265 for 4 tyres at 20,010 (Khumo KU31 as these work best for me using the car all year round). I put new rears on at 38,000 miles - the fronts are still like new!
New Battery in Nov £65 as the original wouldn't hold a charge in the cold weather
Oil services every 9,000 miles - I do my own But get it checked by my local garage once a year plus the MOT. I buy good oil and filters @ about £40 a time so to date that's been £80.
I changed the plugs and air filter on my last service as these were due - £50 thereabouts. I also changed the gearbox oil.
As for upgrades - it's got a Stage2 exhaust fitted and to be honest, it's way too noisy so will going the Tubular route next - although it sounds great n the 2nd cam, it wears you down after a few hours (Even when wearing earplugs which you must at this volume!)
I fitted HIDs both dip and high beam - the lesson here is don't bother doing the high beam - although great when warmed up, you don't get the initial illumination like a normal bulb, but when warm, nothing beats them. These were £100 a set.
I also fitted Yellow stuff front pads at about 24,000 miles - good value pad, good initial bite from cold and not to bad on dust.
Future upgrades
Katana supercharger + Tubular exhaust system along with a suspension refresh not Nitrons - this will be in the new year
Problems - only one, and that's down to the Heating - the actuator has failed for hot and cold so this needs replacing - it's a clam off job so will replace the other actuators at the same time as a precaution (£35 each or thereabouts)
That to one side, it's run faultlessly for the last 25,000 miles - every one of them has felt special :-)
Feel free to ask any questions - using the car as a daily driver is very doable - yes it can be high effort but worth it.
