I had a (new style) Europa S which I sold last year, and shouldn't have!

Now feeling the need to fix this situation, but have been diverted by possibilty of buying an Esprit instead.

Criteria are: high days and holiday use, will sit outside, want whatever is best to drive, and which will be relatively reliable (ie won't break down much, but might from time to time..)

Don't want to overpay, but price is not the deal breaker - although the cheapest is tempting, with enough for a maintenance fund.

Barring anything better appearing, (or some expert warning!) will go for one of the the three below in next couple of weeks. Europa I could happily buy, but what about alternatives;

If you're considering an Esprit, you'd better do two things. Have a large wad of cash to keep as a slush-fund, and spend a lot of time on http://www.thelotusforums.com doing research. Bibs who runs it has had them for years.

Thanks - but had an S before, and if a Europa, will probably go for an SE for various upgrades, especially AP brakes.

I have had a look on various forums and reviews about the Esprit - I know it could be a pain in the neck, but is the driving experience worth it or should I just stick with Europa, which gave me no problems when I owned one before?

Assuming the cars above are in good condition and no surprises, Esprits (probably the S4S) seem like a lot of car for the cash, and I am Lotus-less for first time in a while so maybe it's time to give one a go? Not going for an Elise or Exige, so it's one one or the other.

Will go on Lotus Forums (already a member), but any input here appreciated.
