Is this what Lotus ownership is all about. Huge pleasure for short periods of time interrupted by stupid and possibly costly niggles. Today the cooling fans started to make a noise like a leaf or piece of paper has got stuck between the fan and radiator. In addition the drivers side window gets stuck having closed 80%. Something blocking the mechanism but couldnt identify the source with my untrained eye. More than irritating, particularly as I still have the steering rack to replace. This having spent the most pleasant of afternoons out and about on a nice sunny day, blasting through the French countryside on roads to be enjoyed.

Welcome to Lotus Ownership.

Hopefully the good times will outweigh the problems.

sorry to hear you have gremlins in France too

my experience was that there were a few annoying things to sort but once done (properly) it has been faultless. Long may it continue.

I guess the major annoyance for you is the distance to your nearest dealer, who I hope are good. Not being able to fix a niggle is far more irritating than the niggle in the first place.

I can only imagine you've had an amazing few months over there. Great roads, uncongested roads, hardly any police or speed cameras - bliss!

The window sticking is nearly always a loose screw interfering with the window guide. The screw can usually be accessed with the window fully down without removing the door card etc:

Fixed the window in two minutes once I found the offending screw. Amazing as I got charged £35 the last time it happened! Radiator cooling fan still noisyish despite opening the vents but I'll bide my time for the moment.
