Guglielmi's Time Attack Elise - NICE
Discussion
Good review by the Speedhunters lot http://speedhunters.com/archive/2010/03/06/feature...
Nice to see this out there (pity not racing rather than just this against the clock stuff though). Pity AMOC's Super GT is defunct. At least it is not just another Evo, Scoobie, RS 4x4 thing tweeked to thing (YAWN).
"Running a Garrett GT30-76 roller bearing turbo and Motec M400 management the 1.8 litre engine is producing a astonishing 517 BHP using 1.8 bar boost and 594hp/tonne. as you can imagine its rocket ship fast!" EEK, with all that grip and wings!!! Must be like a Busa powered Go-kart.

True but not in a 1.8 ltr 2ZZ Lotus Exige...http://www.redvictor1racing.co.uk/
Red Victory who care about that Drag racing bks.
Did not realise that the Elise was using a trick NOS system to get that power. I here thos lumps are usually all done at a properly impressive 350ish without NOS. Wonder how long it could run like that (full power - presume not long enough fro say a 20 min Sprint race), mind even with 350bhp it would be MENTAL.

Now take a closer look at Matt's dyno sheet and look how he spread out the RPM/Torque/HP... The power comes on so brutle that you could never put it down to the ground..... from 0-a bizzillion in a blink.
I know Matts setup running on pure Methanol at 42 psi. with a monster turbo.... Drag Race dyno queen.
I will not be going any higher since I can bearly keep my foot planted for more than a few seconds before runing out of road.
Gulielme's car has to feel like a rocket with its lighter weight, does anyone know his torque output since that is the real number that counts not the BHP.
