I was driving nicely on M4 looking at Mercedes E class on rear view mirror approaching very high speed staying very close to my slipstream. When BMW ahead moved to left lane my front space was completely open then kick the pedal leaving Merc far behind that's it nothing wrong really I had absolutely no intention to race or something just wanted to leave dangerous too close right behind car but it seemed Merc driver p***sed off his mighty Merc couldn't follow tiny Lotus Elise. He accelerated rapidly to reach right behind then changed to left lane trying to overtake but blocked back to rear again and again and again then finally when left lane was open(I was in overtake lane) accelerated madly and jumped near miss in my front it was very dangerous.I changed two lane left to leave from Merc I should be careful next time not to ps off Merc driver.

Probably best action was to move left with the BMW and let fast approaching Merc go by and just get on with things. He probably saw your booting after the BMW moved over as an invitation for such antics.

People with small willies.... leave them to it.

Had a Corsa keen to overtake me on the bumpiest road in the world yesterday..... scary watching him nearly leave the road in his urgency to overtake a Lotus frown

It's mainly to do with the car. Probably the worst car I've had for it was an Escort RS Turbo. It was probably around the time they were moving from petrolhead car to chav-attainable.

The worst occurence being when a 4-door astra done several dummy overtakes, weaving around behind following closely and then stopped an gnat's cock from my bumper as I parked up outside my house.

Leaning out his window, "Why won't you race me you dumb f#ck? Do you want a kicking?". He then did a reverse 210 (a slightly too keen and misjudged reverse 180) and left a few mm of his tyres up my road. Some people eh?

Why when the left lane opened or cleared did you not move over. That probably pissed him off more than you driving fast

Why didn't you move left and let him past as soon as the lane was clear? confused

You just wind them up doing this. I just give them the 'You're not worthy' look and ignore. Going fast in front of them goads them and their ste diesel barges.

I had a similar incident involving a Megane Scenic on the M1 on Sunday. In a queue of traffic in the outside lane he was an inch off my bumper. Then the traffic opens up so I pull away. We end up in another queue and he's back on my arse again. Repeat a couple of times until eventually he undertakes on the inside lane and barges in a couple of cars in front of me. Then the traffic clears and he's cruising along at 75 so I overtake him again. And so the process started again...I think some folk just see you as having a target on your back because you drive a sportscar. It's bizarre.

Yes...you really do not know how many people out there driving are suffering from some sort of mental illness, or more likely paranoia due to drug abuse.
Best just relax, drive defensively, and mind you own business...I certainly never ever get wound up by bad drivers?...
