I would like to get my ECU reprogrammed to alter the point at which the cam comes on song, from the current 6500 rpm to a lower and more user friendly 5750rpm. I have been told this can be done easily enough, but I do not know where or how much.
The other alternative I possibly have is that my missus works for Lotus, and I have been told that someone in the competitons department can do it...does anyone have any contact details?
Many thanks

Thanks...I have established a contact at Hethel so that bits sorted....now I am going to sound like a muppet, but I am just being cautious...to remove the ECU is basically very straightforward, but the are a couple of plastic overcentre catches which hold the two wiring plugs in. I have released the clips on these and rotated the clamps back, but they only rotate so far before they become tight again. I do not want to force them just in case I break the clamps.....do I just force them, or is there another clip?
I think I recall somebody mentioning a company (legit) doing the proper Lotus Motorsport remap for £150. Have a quick search as it was only recent

Thanks for this link....it just gauls me to be asked to pay nearly £500-00 for 10 mins work to remove and replace the ECU, plus another 2 mins to reprogram the ECU. Obviously you are paying for development, etc etc, but £500-00!! mind you a few years ago I paid this to have my Golf Tdi`s ECU remapped....and it was brilliant, until the clutch went!
